CHEESECAKE CRESCENT ROLLS 🥐🍰
Ingredients:
- 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Directions:
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Make sure you have a baking sheet ready, lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Use a hand mixer or a whisk to blend thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and creamy, with no lumps.
- Unroll the tube of crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Lay them flat on the prepared baking sheet.
- Take a generous tablespoon of your cream cheese mixture and place it at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Spread it out a little, but make sure to leave space at the edges to seal the rolls.
- Starting from the wide end, carefully roll the crescent triangle towards the pointed end. Pinch the sides to seal the filling in, ensuring no cream cheese mixture spills out during baking.
- For a nice golden finish, you can beat the egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops of the rolls. This step is optional but gives a beautiful sheen.
- Place the baking sheet into the oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown. Keep an eye on them to ensure they don’t over-bake.
- Once done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Dust with powdered sugar for a delightful finish before serving.
